Fit Food Friday: Healthy Treats

So – you are putting good things in – but who doesn’t still want a treat?  Well ….  fear not ….. you can make some healthy treats – which are also DELICIOUS!!!

I am sharing 3 of my favorite EASY treats – along with why the ingredients are super healthy.  So – put these good things in (of course not the whole recipe at once) and ENJOY!

 

Fudge Balls

1 cup almond butter (I like the raw variety from Trader Joes – but roasted is great!)

1 cup medjool dates

¼ cup Cacao powder

Put everything into a food processor and blend until everything comes together.  Roll these into little balls and ENJOY.

 

 

Lemon Balls

1 1/2 cup almond flour

1/3 cup  coconut flour

1 – 2 pinch Himalayan pink salt

6 tablespoons organic liquid sweetener (maple syrup, coconut nectar, raw honey, etc)

1/4 cup lemon juice

1 tablespoon lemon zest

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

1/4 cup coconut oil (+ 1 tablespoon, melted/liquid)

 

Put everything in a food processor except the coconut oil.  Once everything is mixed well, add the coconut oil.  Roll into balls and ENJOY!

 

 

Cacao Chip Cashew Balls

1 cup cashews

3 medjool dates

1 t vanilla

1 pinch sea salt

1 – 2 T cacao nibs

Place the cashews in a food processor or blender and blend until its a fine powder and almost a butter consistency. Add in the dates, vanilla and sea salt and blend until well ground. When mixture is all blended, add in the cacao nibs by hand.

Roll these into little balls and ENJOY.
